Growing up, as your mum shouted ‘You’re not going out like that’, you probably rolled your eyes and thought, god I am NEVER going to be like her. But we’re betting, as you’ve got older, you’ve found a few moments where you realise that shock, horror, you are literally turning into your mum.
A recent study has find that women actually start turning into their mothers when they hit their 30s. The research, conducted by Harley Street Surgeon, Dr Julian De Silva, involved 2000 men and women. More than half of the women surveyed said that once they got into their 30s they started watching the same TV show as their mums, adopted the same sayings and even began similar hobbies! Many of those surveyed also felt that they began to look more like their mother as they hit this age. While becoming parents themselves is often the main trigger, lifestyle factors are also important.
