You know the wedding season has kicked off when the hats come out. When bobble-topped knits are replaced with fluttery, feathery fascinators, it can only mean one thing… OK, two things, but the other involves getting drunk and watching horses race. Trying to find something to wear during wedding season is tricky enough as a guest, and it can take a two or three options (of course complete with shoes and matching bag and fluttery, feathery fascinator) to nail down the right outfit. With the average number of weddings attended by us guests each year hitting the 2-3 mark, at least you’ll have all bases covered - and you’ll be able to wear your outfit again, unlike the bride. With wedding dresses costing anywhere from a few hundred pounds for an off-the-peg number to tens of thousands of pounds (and then some) for a couture made-to-measure, you’d think that one dress would be more than enough for the big day, but according to Vogue magazine, Wes Gordon - new designer at Carolina Herrara – has found that some brides are ordering up to three. One for the rehearsal dinner, one for actually walking down the aisle, and another for the party afterwards. Like Elvis said – it really is “one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready – now go cat go!”
